Dr. Bill Layton
PT, DPT, CSCS, COMT
Dr. Bill Layton, PT, DPT, CSCS, COMT received his Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA, where he was a Division I varsity soccer player. Bill went on to graduate from the University of Maryland Baltimore’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. While earning his degree he completed internship training in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic clinical settings. His clinical interests are in orthopedic/sports and manual therapy.
Bill is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has also earned his Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) through the Nxt Gen Institute of Physical Therapy. Bill believes that analyzing and optimizing functional movement patterns through enhancing mobility and strength is an essential part of rehabilitation, and is Functional Movement Screen Certified (FMS level 1) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment Certified (SFMA level 1). He enjoys working with athletes and patients of various ages looking to get back to sport or an active lifestyle.
Outside of the clinic, Bill enjoys spending time with his family including their dog Bear. He also enjoys playing soccer, running, hiking, and fishing.
