Dr. Mary Miller
PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Mary Miller, PT, DPT, OCS received her Bachelors of Science in Rehabilitation Science, Masters of Science in Physical Therapy, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in Boston. She has over a decade of orthopedic experience.
She began her work experience in Elmira, NY and moved to Baltimore in 2006 when she accepted a position at Sinai Hospital’s Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics. While at Sinai, Mary specialized in Sports Performance and created the Rubin Institute’s Running Clinic.
Since starting the Running Clinic, she has analyzed the gait pattern of hundreds of runners. Mary incorporates video analysis to detect movement patterns that put an individual at risk for further injury. She utilizes manual therapies including Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and trigger point dry needling to restore pain free mobility followed by therapeutic exercise designed to correct these movement dysfunctions. She dedicates herself to her patients to help them make the changes needed to improve overall function in every day and sports activity.
Mary values the importance of evidence based practice and is a member of the Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is an active member in the Baltimore running community. She is also an educator, serving as a clinical instructor to multiple students over the years, as well as lecturing overseas to Physical Therapists in Qatar.
